Photocopy of MotoMeter Ammeter Gauge instruction sheet for VW sedan models August 1955 - 1957 and August 1957 and later as well as for Karmann Ghia. Instruction sheet says, MotoMeter electric Ammeter indicator can be mounted supplementary into all VW Sedan models August 1955 and later. The kit consists of: a) indicator unit diameter 40 mm. b) Installation Instructions for Ammeter gauge. MotoMeter Instructions 1. Installation of indicator unit. Installation of indicator unit in VW Sedan models August 1955 to July 1957 for left hand drive to the left for right hand drive to the right of speedometer. The cut-out of 1-19/32 required for the installation must be cut into the dashboard. A circle saw for this purpose is available from us under Cat. No. 1905. Alternate installations of the dash instrument are possible between the light switch and the windshield wiper knob in the dashboard, or by using our under-the-dash bracket or our steering column bracket. 2. Wiring of indicator unit. The wiring must be done without current according to the enclosed wiring diagram. Use only heavy duty type insulated wires with lugs. 3. Electrical check of installation. After turning on the ignition key the instrument must show the Ammeter level. Originally Printed in Western Germany. Photocopy Only. Gauge NOT included.
